uTRUSTit – Usable TRUST in the Internet of Things

In the future, devices that communicate with each other or to the Internet will be common. This resulting “Internet of Things” promises to make life easier and connect services seamlessly. However, it also raises privacy and trust issues about communicating with so many devices. Can you trust the other devices that your devices talk to? Do you know what sort of information they want? Do you know how they will use this newly received information? How can you protect yourself and your information?

UU-autentisering – Universell utforming av IKT-baserte løsninger for registrering og autentisering

Ulike utfordringer knyttet til universell utforming og tilgjengelighet i løsninger for pålogging ble undersøkt. Det ble gjennomført brukertester av en prototype for pålogging til Storebrand nettbank med autentisering med tale via mobil. Denne prototypen ble utviklet i prosjektet. Brukervennlighets- og tilgjengelighetsutfordringer ved pålogging til to offentlige tjenester, Altinn og MinID ble også undersøkt. 5 synshemmede og 5 dyslektikere var med på brukertestene. I tillegg ble det gjort en analyse av henvendelser til brukerstøtte for tjenestene.

Verdsettelse av forpliktelser for Solvens II

I løpet av de neste par årene skal det innføres et nytt regelverk for forsikringsbransjen i Europa kalt Solvens II. Målet med det nye regelverket er at det skal gi økt beskyttelse for forsikringstakerne, samt at det skal bedre stabiliteten i finansmarkedene.

VHL – Virtuell hjelpemiddellab

Det er et stort behov for kunnskap samt effektive metoder og verktøy for å oppnå universell utforming av IKT. Universell utforming forutsetter at IKT-løsninger er teknisk tilgjengelig og brukervennlig for flest mulig.

Virtual tolling

Crossroad Road tolling is typically based on physical tolling stations. In the future, road tolling will probably rely on GPS positioning or more generally so-called GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems).

Prosjektet VisitorEngagement utviklet et innovativt system for observasjon av hva som engasjerer besøkende i vitensentre og museer. Systemet har to hovedkomponenter:

VisitorEngagement

Science centres and museums are meeting places for children, youth, and adults. Visitors can explore math, science, technology, and history through their own activity and together with other visitors. What engages the visitors? Currently, there are no good measures to answer this question. Museums count their visitors. Yet, data collection methods that report what visitors actually do are absent. This is also the case for more advanced methods that tie together the use of installations with the visitors' subjective experience.

Whaling management

Whale Norway has been hunting minke whales in the North-Eastern Atlantic since the 1920-ies. Today the population counts about 100 000 animals. The Norwegian Computing Center has been involved in the work for improving the management procedures for more than twenty years.
