Kongsberg Spacetec Services Integration into the Support Service Environment (KONSERV)

Kongsberg Spacetec Services Integration into the Support Service Environment (KONSERV)

Summary

The information technology tool Service Support Environment (SSE) has been developed for the Ground Segment Department at ESA-ESRIN aiming to provide an open service-oriented and distributed environment among business users (service users and service providers), enabling the integration of earth observation, meteorological and GIS data. The Konserv project is implementing three new services in SEE: sea-farm risk assessment and planning; ship- and oil spill detection; and cryospheric climate monitoring. The oil spill detection algorithm to be used has been developed previously by NR. The cryospheric climate monitoring is based on a selection of sub-services developed by the EuroClim project. NR’s role in this project is to implement the oil spill detection service and the cryospheric climate monitoring service using the SEE tool.

Project goals

NR’s role in the project is to implement the oil spill detection service and the cryospheric climate monitoring service using the Service Support Environment (SSE) tool.
